2021 NFL mock draft: What each team should do in the first round
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 9th overall
The Denver Broncos would undoubtedly love to find a new quarterback in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft but they may have to aggressively trade up the board in order to land that player. Mac Jones may be an option for the team but he would be a reach in this range. Instead, the Broncos solidify their offensive line with the addition of Rashawn Slater.
Slater is an athletic offensive line prospect who moves in space well and shows good power at the point of attack. He is a rock-solid pass protector and has a ton of upside in the run game. Whether the Broncos would look at Slater as a tackle or a guard, he would be a fantastic addition to their offensive line mix.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 10th overall
Patrick Surtain II is generally the pick for the Dallas Cowboys at No. 10 but he is already off of the board in this 2021 NFL mock draft. No worries for Dallas as Jaycee Horn stands out as another defender who could immediately give them some much-needed defensive help.
Horn is a big, long and athletic cornerback prospect who undoubtedly has massive upside at the next level. He shines in press coverage at the line of scrimmage, has the quickness needed to keep up with receivers throughout the route and attacks the ball in the air extremely well. Simply put, Horn is a well-rounded cornerback prospect who undoubtedly has number one cornerback upside at the next level.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 11th overall
Let’s get Daniel Jones some more help. The addition of wide receiver Kenny Golladay in free agency was a great start but the New York Giants still lack impact talent at the wide receiver position. Jaylen Waddle is an incredibly explosive wide receiver prospect who stands out as an ideal choice for the Giants at No. 11.
Waddle displays an incredible combination of speed, quickness and acceleration that makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He is a dynamic deep threat who can consistently take the top off of the defense and also shines with the ball in his hands. Simply put, Waddle is a dynamic playmaker at the wide receiver position. If Jones cannot produce with this improved stock of weapons, then the Giants need to find a way to move on.
