2021 NFL mock draft: What each team should do in the first round
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 29th overall
Davante Adams is arguably the best wide receiver in the entire NFL, but the Green Bay Packers lack impact talent at the position behind him. This draft class is loaded with exciting wide receiver talent and taking one in the first round would be a strong plan of attack for this team.
Elijah Moore is a quick and smooth route runner who easily separates against man coverage. He is not the biggest receiver around, but Moore has exciting deep speed and is a true playmaker with the ball in his hands. He also tracks the ball in the air extremely well and does not have many issues with drops. In Moore, the Packers find Aaron Rodgers a much-needed number two weapon in the passing game.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 30th overall
This would be an absolute best-case scenario for the Buffalo Bills. Kwity Paye is an extremely talented edge defender who will likely be well off of the board by No. 30. However, his lack of college production may give some teams pause. The Buffalo Bills, however, are not scared away as Paye’s incredible combination of size and athleticism makes him a perfect fit for their defensive attack. He would also fill a major need for this team.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 31st overall
Jayson Oweh is another high upside edge rusher who has obvious athletic ability but lacks in the college production department. Oweh is clearly an explosive edge defender who has massive upside as an outside pass rusher at the next level, but he may not be ready to come in and make an immediate impact. With their extra first-round selection, the Baltimore Ravens take a chance on his massive long-term upside.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 32nd overall
With the final pick of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Rondale Moore, an exciting wide receiver out of Purdue. The Buccaneers have done a great job of keeping their roster together this offseason and entire the draft with few needs on the roster. However, they have yet to bring back Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin is only under contract through 2021. Wide receiver could be considered a position of need.
In Moore, the Buccaneers select an extremely quick and explosive wide receiver who consistently shines with the ball in his hands. Moore did not show much as a deep receiver during his college career but he is a dynamic playmaker in the short-to-intermediate range. If he can stay healthy, the sky is the limit for his NFL career.
