2021 NFL mock draft: 32nd pick

Amazingly enough, it’s two straight 2021 NFL mock draft scenarios with Davis Mills to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs do not have a clear backup quarterback situation although Ryan Griffin will be back as an option. Not only could Davis Mills come in as a backup option, but he would also have a chance to learn from Bruce Arians and Byron Leftwich as well as behind Tom Brady, and what better situation could there be for him?

Maybe in New Orleans, but there is no doubt that being on the Buccaneers’ roster would benefit Mills.

The Bucs return their entire Super Bowl-winning starting lineup and the roster would be in great position for him to take over if Brady retires anytime soon.

Of course, no one knows exactly when that will happen.

So what if the Bucs don’t go with a quarterback?

They could go any number of directions, including wide receiver. At this point, they have not brought Antonio Brown back, so they could bring someone in to replace his presence in the lineup.

Defensively, they could try to get younger on the defensive line, but they have a tremendous group there as well.

This seems like the prime spot to take a shot on the quarterback position, and Mills is as intriguing as you will find. They won’t be able to get him at 64, in all likelihood.
