The 2021 NFL Draft offensive tackle class has two of the top seven players in the draft in Penei Sewell and Rashawn Slater. The group also has a total of nine players who earn a first or second-round grade so there is plenty of depth at the top of the draft. However, if a team wants to add an offensive tackle in the draft they better on the first or second day as there are slim pickings on the third day.

Most underrated offensive tackle in 2021 NFL Draft: Samuel Cosmi

One of the better left tackle prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft is Samuel Cosmi who earns a late first-round grade. What makes Cosmi such a promising left tackle is his quick feet and overall athletic ability. He has the size NFL teams crave as well coming in at 6-foot-7.

Most overrated offensive tackle in 2021 NFL Draft: Teven Jenkins

The most overrated player in the 2021 NFL Draft class is Oklahoma State offensive tackle Teven Jenkins. While he is a powerful blocker, he is far from a first-round talent. This is primarily due to his average athletic ability and how he tends to lunge when blocking which causes him to lose his balance. Another concern with him is his short arms which could force him to move to offensive guard.

Day three gem in 2021 NFL Draft: Alaric Jackson

All Alaric Jackson has done during his college career is start 42 straight games at left tackle and been named to the All-Big Ten team three times. While he will definitely need to get stronger to start in the NFL he has the athletic ability and size to potentially develop into an NFL starter.

Offensive tackle that is the biggest risk in the 2021 NFL Draft: Walker Little

Stanford’s Walker Little is a player who has excelled when on the field being named Pac-12 Freshman Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2017 and first-team all Pac-12 in 2018. Unfortunately, he has not been on the field much in the past couple of years only playing in one game since 2018. This lack of playing time over the past two seasons is the main reason why he is such a risk.

Top small school offensive tackle in 2021 NFL Draft: Dillon Radunz

The second-best small-school player in the 2021 NFL Draft also comes from North Dakota State in offensive tackle Dillon Radunz. Radunz has started 32 games for the Bison and was named a consensus first-team All-American in 2019. He also had a strong Senior Bowl and won the Practice Player of the Week Award. While he played left tackle in college he is best suited for right tackle or even offensive guard in the NFL.
