Pittsburgh Steelers: Complete seven-round 2021 NFL mock draft
Pittsburgh Steelers 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 216th overall
Rachad Wildgooose Jr. was a three-year starting cornerback at Wisconsin and quickly grew into a stable player in their secondary. Wildgoose played both on the outside and in the slot in college and may be able to handle either role at the next level. That being said, he is likely best suited on the inside where his quick feet and tough demeanor will shine through.
Wildgoose is a confident defensive back who attacks the ball in the air extremely well. He does not have an ideal combination of size and athleticism at the cornerback position but he is a solid cover corner who could grow into a solid role player for this team.
Pittsburgh Steelers 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 7, 245th overall
At this point in the draft, teams are simply looking for players who they like and fit their team well, regardless of position. Tarron Jackson is a bit of a tweener prospect who does not really have enough juice to consistently play on the edge but lacks ideal size to play on the inside. That being said, he is a tough and physical defensive lineman who would fit the Steelers well.
Jackson is quick off of the ball and powerful at the point of attack. He has long arms, strong hands and consistently plays the game with a hot motor. His ability to shed blocks and pursue the ball carrier as a run defender is consistently impressive and he also has some upside as an interior rusher. Simply put, Jackson is a good football player who could grow into a strong depth piece up front for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pittsburgh Steelers 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 7, 254th overall
With their final pick of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers make another interesting addition to their offensive mix. Dax Milne is an extremely competitive player who consistently makes the most out of his abilities. He is not the most impressive natural athlete around but Milne shows good route running ability and competes for the ball in the air extremely well.
Milne is another rock-solid football player who could come in and immediately provide quality depth for the Steelers at the wide receiver position. His toughness could also come in handy for the team on special teams.
