The 2021 NFL Draft offensive guard class is surprisingly topped by Ohio State’s Wyatt Davis who is a better run blocker than USC’s Alijah Vera-Tucker. The class also features two athletic offensive linemen who can be had early on day three of the 2021 NFL Draft in Jack Anderson of Texas Tech and Kendrick Green of Illinois.

Most underrated offensive guard in 2021 NFL Draft: Jack Anderson

Texas Tech offensive guard Jack Anderson had an outstanding college career for the Red Raiders. He was named a Freshman All-American and to the All-Big 12 team in both 2018 and 2020. His top assets as a prospect are his athletic ability and his overall tenacity as a blocker.

Most overrated offensive guard in 2021 NFL Draft: Deonte Brown

One of the more overrated players in the 2021 NFL Draft is Alabama offensive guard Deonte Brown. Some of the concerns with him include a poor 40-yard dash time of 5.57 seconds which is the worst time of any guard with a draftable grade. He also had a poor Senior Bowl, faced a six-game suspension in college, and battled weight and injury issues during his time at Alabama.

Day three gem in 2021 NFL Draft: Kendrick Green

Illinois Kendrick Green is a prospect who made the All-Underrated team and is someone being overlooked in the 2021 NFL Draft. What stands out with him is his mobility which was backed up by his 4.88 40-yard dash. Another thing working in his favor is his ability to play either center or guard.

Offensive guard that is the biggest risk in the 2021 NFL Draft: Trey Smith

The reason why Trey Smith is such a risky prospect is his history of blood clots in his lunges. This issue cost him five games in 2018 and will be something team doctors will have to feel comfortable with before spending a pick on him.

Top small school offensive guard in 2021 NFL Draft: Quinn Meinerz

Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Quinn Meinerz could become the highest-drafted player ever draft from a Division III school, beating the old mark set by Ali Marpet who was the 61st pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. Meiners has had an outstanding past couple of months starting with his strong performance at the Senior Bowl. He also had an impressive pro day where he ran a 4.99 40-yard dash.
