NFL mock draft 2021: Justin Fields, Trey Lance help make history
By Evan Bachman
After losing Matthew Judon, Yannick Ngakoue, and Jihad Ward in free agency, the Ravens could look to the draft for an edge rusher. Luckily for them, there’s a bunch of edges who project to come off the board right around their pick in this NFL mock draft.
Azeez Ojulari, not only has a great name but has loads of potential as a pass rusher in the NFL. His speed and quickness are the best of any edge rusher in the class, that combined with good flexibility makes for very good traits for a pass rusher.
Ojulari is a great fit for the Ravens as a 3-4 outside linebacker, who primarily rushes the passer, but also can drop back into coverage.
While I wouldn’t be shocked if the Saints took a quarterback here, I think they give Jameis Winston a year to start and prove himself. With Emmanuel Sanders signing with the Bills this offseason, the Saints really don’t have any good receivers beyond Michael Thomas.
Elijah Moore could step right in and be a reliable slot receiver. He’s short at just 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, but he’s does everything you want in a slot receiver, which is to get open, catch the ball consistently, and be a nightmare for defenses to try to tackle after the catch.
Moore had an outstanding season in 2019, he perhaps didn’t get as much national attention as he deserved because of DeVonta Smith’s historic season. In just eight games last year, he managed to catch 86 passes for 1,193 yards, and 8 touchdowns.
