The Jaguars could go a number of different directions in this 2021 NFL mock draft after pick number one, however, safety is a spot the Jaguars are both weak at and haven’t recently spent a high draft pick on, so I think TCU’s Trevon Moehrig is a prime option here.

Moehrig is a very versatile defender as he takes snaps from the box, free safety, and slot corner.  He is an absolute ballhawk in coverage, he has outstanding instincts and ball skills, which allowed him to pick off six passes and break up 20 over his last two seasons at TCU.

Barmore could certainly warrant a higher pick than this, but with a lot of teams having bigger needs than the interior defensive line, the Browns get a good value here.

Defensive tackle isn’t the biggest need for the Browns, but Barmore would likely come in and start and form and pretty daunting defensive front along with Myles Garrett and the newly acquired Jadeveon Clowney.

This is a weak interior d-line class, but Barmore is still a very good prospect.  He possesses a unique combination of quickness, hand usage, and power, which makes him project as a very good pass rusher in the NFL.

At Alabama, he was a nightmare for opposing signal-callers to go up against.  In 2020, he got to the quarterback consistently recording eight sacks and an impressive 39 games, according to PFF.
