OT. Pick Analysis. Virginia Tech. Christian Darrisaw. 17. player. 28. Scouting Report

After losing a lot of offensive linemen over the offseason, I’d be surprised if they don’t address it early in the draft.  Christian Darrisaw could certainly step in and start right away.

As a prospect, Darrisaw is a step behind Slater and Sewell because he’s not at their level athletically, but he’s still very much worthy of a first-round pick.

The exceptional season he had last year at Virginia Tech makes it very encouraging that his play will translate to the next level.  According to PFF, he allowed no sacks and just 6 pressures in 13 games and was very good in run blocking with a grade of 94.5.

59. Scouting Report. Michigan. 18. player. Pick Analysis. Edge. Kwity Paye

With the Dolphins’ second first-rounder I could see them going a few different directions depending on how the board shakes out.  In this scenario, after going wide receiver with their first pick, I think they look to add an offensive lineman or a pass rusher.

In this scenario, they take the first edge rusher off the board.  Kwity Paye is a unique player, not many men of his size at 6-foot-4, 274 pounds can move the way he does.

Paye only played four games in 2020, but he was very disruptive in those games, getting to the quarterback at a high rate.  If he could have gotten to play a full season, it would be interesting to see what kind of numbers he would have put up.
