Round 2, Pick 43

Pick Analysis. OL. Ohio State. Wyatt Davis. 2. Scouting Report. player. 812

As I said earlier, the San Francisco 49ers have the luxury of allowing the 2021 NFL Draft to come to them. That’s exactly what they do with this pick. Currently, the 49ers have a sixth-round pick from 2019 slated to start at right guard in Justin Skule, according to the depth chart on Ourlads.com. No matter if it’s Jones or Garoppolo under center, they will need to protect him.

At Ohio State, Wyatt Davis was regarded as one of the best interior offensive linemen in the country, being an All-American in 2019. If Davis falls to the second round, which is seeming like a higher possibility as the draft draws near, then the 49ers would be lucky to snag him.

Round 3, Pick 102

Pick Analysis. Dylan Moses. 3. Scouting Report. LB. Alabama. player. 829

Continuing to allow the 2021 NFL Draft to come to them, the San Francisco 49ers move to the defensive side of the ball with this pick. Dre Greenlaw and Fred Warner are strong linebackers, but adding another potential starter to the unit would be a smart move in the middle rounds for the team.

Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles is slated to start at the WILL. Whether it be to start there or be a rotational depth player taking Dylan Moses would be a great pick in the third round.

Once a first-round prospect, Moses missed the 2019 season which hurt his draft stock. Coming off the injury, Moses captained the 2020 Alabama defense and worked to be an All-American, seemingly not missing a beat. If that’s the form that he has entering the 2021 NFL Draft, then he could be a steal in the late third round, which is where San Francisco takes him here.
