After a strange 2020 season that saw them somehow eek into the playoffs with an 8 and 8 record, the Chicago Bears find themselves with the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. This will be their first pick on the first day of the draft since way back in 2018 after trading away their 2019 and 2020 firsts to the Oakland Raiders for Khalil Mack.

With this being such a deep draft class, that No. 20 slot could very well net the Bears a big-time talent but I can’t help but wonder if Chicago would think about trading up if they have the opportunity.

This class is top-heavy at a couple of positions of need for Chicago that may require them to move up if they want to get their guy. We know that there is going to be an early on run on quarterbacks, so what would it take to get the next man up after the top three picks? They could also really value the top of the wide receiver and tackle groups, as both positions are in need of a significant upgrade.

While I’m sure fans are just excited to even have a first-round selection at all, they may be in for an even more exciting evening on April 20th if Chicago does decide to make an aggressive move. Let’s take a look at three names that would make sense as trade-up targets for the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
