3. Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina

One of the biggest risers as we approach the 2021 NFL Draft, Jaycee Horn from South Carolina could end up a top 10 pick before things are all said and done on draft night. Sure, that makes him a little harder to obtain for the Buffalo Bills, but he could be a very important asset to their defense.

With Sean McDermott as the head coach and Leslie Frazier as defensive coordinator, the Buffalo Bills will place plenty of emphasis on the defensive side of the football. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs may get most of the headlines, but the Bills will only go as far as their defense takes them.

While I think a player like Caleb Farley may be a better scheme fit, Jaycee Horn could wind up being the perfect player to pair with Tre’Davious White as lockdown outside corners. Like White, Horn is a feisty and tenacious defender who will continuously be a headache for opposing receivers.

With his length, build, athleticism, physicality and bloodlines, Jaycee Horn has the makings of an elite NFL player. With Caleb Farley’s lingering back injury, Horn is right there with another NFL son, Patrick Surtain II to be the first cornerback off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft.

While there may be some decent cornerback options still on the board at pick 30, being able to select a truly elite corner could allow the Buffalo Bills to make a huge stride on defense. One young, elite cornerback is great, but two could be game-changing.
