Buffalo Bills NFL Draft 2021: 5 players to target in the first round
4. Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss
While wide receiver does not seem like the biggest need for the Buffalo Bills heading into the 2021 NFL Draft class, this player might be too good to pass up. Elijah Moore is an electric playmaker that would change the game even more for the Bills.
Elijah Moore may be my favorite player in the 2021 NFL Draft class. He just does everything that you look for from a slot-heavy wide receiver. He has incredible speed, explosive quickness, impressive route running, great hands, and a fiery motor.
In Lane Kiffin’s first year in Oxford, Moore’s potential was certainly tapped into. He was able to show his incredibly high ceiling by utilizing him in a variety of ways. At times, Moore was used like Tyreek Hill as a dynamic deep threat, shifty route runner over the middle, and a deceptive weapon often in motion.
The Buffalo Bills’ current wide receiving corps consists of veterans Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley, 2020 picks Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Hodgins, as well as free agent signing Emmanuel Sanders. Also with a versatile weapon in Isaiah McKenzie, wide receiver certainly does not appear to be a priority.
But this target is much more about the player than the need. If a guy like Moore is still on the board at pick 30 in the 2021 NFL Draft, any team would be hard-pressed to pass on him. Moore just brings so much to the table that he could make a great offense even greater and could turn into one of the more dynamic players in the NFL.
