3. Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

This pick would be an absolute steal for the Buffalo Bills if Virginia Tech cornerback, Caleb Farley, can prove that he can stay healthy coming out of the 2021 NFL Draft. Farley is a true top talent in this draft class, but some medical concerns are causing his draft stock to fall drastically.

This news could be music to the ears of the Buffalo Bills front office.

While Farley tumbles down mock draft boards, his camp insists that his back injury is a non-issue.

The agent for Virginia Tech CB Caleb Farley, @DrewJRosenhaus, said a “bunch of team doctors and trainers” told him after today’s medical recheck in Indianapolis that Farley “did well with his physical regarding his back and is still expected to go in the first round.”

While Farley insists that he will prove teams that pass on him wrong.

Caleb Farley is the most talented cornerback in the 2021 NFL Draft, in my opinion, and would fit great in Sean McDermott’s defensive system. In a zone-heavy defense reliant on the defensive line getting pressure early, Farley can play to his strengths, reading and reacting to the quarterback and the ball.

Farley has incredible instincts and ball skills. He has great length and outstanding athleticism to quickly close to receivers and make a play on the ball. He can hold his own in man coverage but really thrives when playing in a bail, deep zone type of coverage.

If Farley were to land with the Buffalo Bills, he would be helping to fill the shoes of veteran Josh Norman, a zone corner who is coming of a very impressive season in Buffalo late in his career.

Bringing similar talents and traits to the table with his raw upside and potential, Farley could be the steal of the draft if he falls to the 30th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and can stay healthy throughout his NFL career.
