2. Christian Barmore, IDL, Alabama

Like Phillips, Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore has the desired blend of size, power, and quickness for a 2021 NFL Draft prospect. Off the snap, Barmore is as effective as anyone. He is quick to make a move and find a gap and has the strength to overpower even many double teams.

While I’m not quite as high on Barmore as some, I think he is certainly in the conversation to be the number one interior defensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft and would be good value around the 30th pick (although I don’t think much higher).

Barmore would fill a bit of a need for the Buffalo Bills right away. While, once again, the Bills do have some talent at the defensive tackle position, they need more solid and consistent play from that spot. Pairing Barmore with a guy like 2019 top 10 pick, Ed Oliver, would give the Buffalo Bills a young and talented duo in the middle of their defensive front.

With his skillset, Barmore has some versatility to play multiple positions of the defensive line, making it even easier to find a way for him to make an impact early in his NFL career. While I would like to see a more consistent motor from snap to whistle, the talent that Barmore brings to the table is big-time.

While many evaluators believe that Christian Barmore will be going off the board possibly in the first half of the first round come April 29, I think a spot like the Buffalo Bills at pick 30 would be a very nice landing spot in the 2021 NFL Draft.
