2021 NFL Draft rumors: 10 players that could be traded
4. David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns
Odell Beckham Jr. is not the only Cleveland Browns player that is likely on the trade block heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.
Frankly, it’s a shock that David Njoku is still on the Browns’ roster at all.
The team went after Austin Hooper in 2020 free agency and then drafted Harrison Bryant, who effectively took Njoku’s job as even the number two tight end in Cleveland.
The Browns don’t have to trade Njoku, a former first-round pick out of Miami, but again — this year’s tight end class is not very good and Njoku might be a preferable option to teams needing to upgrade their depth at the tight end position.
Athletically, this guy is a freak. With eight touchdowns in his first two seasons, Njoku appeared well on his way to stardom but he’s been limited to just 17 games and 24 receptions over the past two years.
The upside is still there for this guy. He turns 25 in July and he will undoubtedly be motivated to hit free agency coming off of a big season.
