4. Tight End

Staying on the offensive side of the ball, the weapons around him also helped Josh Allen get to his MVP level of play a year ago. With guys like Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis, it seemed easy at times for this Buffalo Bills offense.

Although John Brown has moved on, the team was able to bring in Emmanuel Sanders to fill the void at wide receiver. Where the team is still lacking on the offensive side is at tight end. They have received contributions here and there, but overall, over the past few seasons, their tight end play has been mediocre.

Dawson Knox was drafted in the third round in 2019 and has yet to live up to those expectations. The team brought over Jacob Hollister from the Seahawks this offseason, but neither player cracked the top 40 rated tight ends according to PPF in 2020.

the 2021 NFL Draft isn’t exactly rich at the tight end position. If you don’t have the fourth overall pick, you likely aren’t getting an immediate star at tight end (though Kyle Pitts is far from your typical “tight end”).

However, if the Buffalo Bills like a guy as a late first or second-round pick and he is still on the board come the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, I would expect the Bills to take another swing at the position. With the great wide receiver play, a playmaking tight end could be all it takes to take Allen and the Buffalo Bills offense over the top in 2021.
