Las Vegas Raiders land impact rookie starters in 2021 mock draft
Trading back into the back-end of round one (where there could be a run on tackles), the Las Vegas Raiders address one of their top remaining needs heading into the 2021 NFL Draft season with Oklahoma State offensive tackle prospect Teven Jenkins.
The Raiders, whether they were motivated strictly by financial reasons or football reasons or a combination, traded former big-money free agent Trent Brown to his old team the New England Patriots this offseason.
They wound up giving Kolton Miller a contract extension on the left side (and he has surpassed what many of us thought he would wind up being during the draft process) but the right side will need to be addressed in this particular class.
Although the Raiders could look into guys who are more solid second-round projections like Dillon Radunz, Liam Eichenberg, and Jalen Mayfield, they move a few picks to get up and get an impact year-one starter in Jenkins here.
At 6-foot-6, 317 pounds, Jenkins ran a 4.99 in the 40-yard dash and showed off his outstanding athletic talent. Although he can still be beat by speed, there are not many who will escape this guy’s clutches if he gets his hands on them.
He’s a powerful, nasty player who will help the Raiders’ run game tremendously if they pick him here.
