Day 3 Picks

4a. Seth Williams, WR, Auburn

The Cleveland Browns have a well-rounded roster at this point, so why not just shop around on day three for the best players on your board?

Seth Williams, stylistically, is a great complement to Dyami Brown and would play more of the “X” role in Kevin Stefanski’s offense. He’s got tremendous size and when you throw on some of his tape over the past couple years, he looks like the best player on the field at times.

I love his combination of size, speed, length, and competitiveness at the catch point.

4b. Jaylen Twyman, DL, Pittsburgh

Jaylen Twyman was thought to be one of the best defensive linemen in the ACC going into this past season.

He opted out of the 2020 season after posting 12.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in the 2019 season, showing off his repertoire of moves from the interior defensive line.

Twyman could go even later on day three for concerns over his athleticism and twitch, but he would be a worthwhile investment for a team like the Browns who could set him up with some favorable matchups even in limited snaps as a rookie.

5. Elerson Smith, ED, Northern Iowa

How about even more pass rush?

What Jaylen Twyman lacks in athleticism and burst, Elerson Smith can more than make up for.

This guy’s burst is unreal and he is capable of putting on a show when he combines that athletic burst with his tremendous upper-body strength, hand punch, and length.

I love his potential rushing inside or outside at the next level.

6. Brandon Stephens, CB, SMU

A former running back at UCLA, Brandon Stephens is a tremendous athlete who is getting his feet wet at cornerback, and he would have a chance to learn in Cleveland while making his way on special teams.

In two seasons and with limited time learning the position, Stephens racked up 23 pass breakups and 92 tackles.
