2021 NFL Mock Draft: 5th pick

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. LSU. Ja'Marr Chase. 5. player. 56

The Cincinnati Bengals added Riley Reiff in free agency. They have former first-round pick Jonah Williams.

The offensive line is not a no-doubt, no question whatsoever pick here at five overall.

Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow were one of the deadliest duos in college football in the 2019 college football season, hooking up for over 21 yards per reception en route to Burrow winning the Heisman Trophy and Ja’Marr Chase winning the Biletnikoff Award.

Chase is a big-time playmaker who has excellent play speed, he’s physical, and he’s a monster at the catch point.

Chase is a true alpha playmaker at the wide receiver position and that’s something the Cincinnati Bengals could be looking to replace.

Tee Higgins is a tremendous “X” receiver while Tyler Boyd is a very underrated slot. Besides those guys, however, what do the Bengals really have at receiver?

With the departures of AJ Green and John Ross III this offseason, receiver is definitely an area of need for the Bengals and Chase already has chemistry with their young QB.
