NFL Mock Draft 2021: Patriots, Washington trade up in 3-round mock
2021 NFL Mock Draft: 18th pick
Some mock draft picks just make a ton of sense.
Najee Harris to the Miami Dolphins is one of those picks.
Reuniting Harris with Tua Tagovailoa would be a lot of fun to see, and Harris would add yet another dynamic to the Dolphins’ offense that is presently missing.
Although Harris is an excellent running back, he’s a dynamic three-down player with the ability to split out wide and actually line up as a slot or wide receiver.
Harris is not the same type of bruising back as other Alabama players like Derrick Henry, but he’s not completely “finesse” at the position, either. He’s physical when he needs to be and with his frame, he rarely goes down on first contact.
Harris will stick his nose in there and pass protect, and he plays the game with an impressive level of savvy. He’s improved so much over the course of the last couple of seasons and with his natural hands and pass-catching ability, he would be a serious rookie of the year candidate in a place like Miami.
In every draft class, you find players who become “your guys” and in this year’s class, Najee Harris is one of mine. There’s little doubt in my mind that this guy is going to be a star at the next level.
