Washington Football Team 7-round mock draft after strong free agency
By Pablo Rosero
The Washington Football Team made a splash signing when they signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to improve the quarterback position for the 2021 season. However, it’s clear that Fitzpatrick is a short-term solution and not a long-term answer. Enter former Florida quarterback Kyle Trask and there could be some upside.
Personally, I don’t believe that the Washington Football Team would attempt to shoot up in the first round to try to grab one of the top-five quarterbacks, and I also don’t think that Trask will last until round three due to how early the other quarterbacks will come off the board.
Trask is an interesting prospect, at 6-foot-5, 240-pounds, he has a prototypical frame and the arm talent that teams love to develop. When he had targets, Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney who are both first-round talents, Trask dominated, however when he didn’t like in the Gators bowl game against the Oklahoma Sooners, Trask looked average.
With Washington adding Curtis Samuel to an offensive core of Gibson, Terry McLaurin, Logan Thomas, and J.D. McKissic and an improved offensive line, Trask could sit behind Fitzpatrick and develop.
Adding Trask gives the Washington Football Team nice depth at the quarterback position for the 2021 season, while also giving them a player who could potentially develop into a quality starting option down the line.
