Washington Football Team 7-round mock draft after strong free agency

Another player who has been trending up in the draft is Kentucky linebacker, Jamin Davis. Davis has been a hot prospect in recent weeks with his impressive Pro Day significantly helping his case.
At 6-foot-3, 234 pounds, Davis is a beast of a prospect and his athletic profile should have all scouts and coaches foaming at the mouth. At his Pro Day, Davis ran a 4.47s 40-yard dash to go along with a 42-inch vertical jump.
On tape, Davis has a nose for the football and is able to cover multiple positions, something Washington would need in a linebacker. NFL network’s Daniel Jeremiah compared Davis to former Defensive Rookie of the Year and All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard thanks to their athletic profile and skill set.
For the Washington Football Team, adding a dynamic linebacker behind their front-four of Young, Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, and Montez Sweat would give defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio limitless possibilities. Having already added secondary help, the Washington Football Team is just missing an elite linebacker to take that next step and if Davis does become a Darius Leonard type player, then this defense could be great for many years.
Davis could be a late first-round pick thanks to the hype, but Washington should look to add a linebacker in this fairly deep class and Davis feels like a great target.
