Round 2 Pick 55: Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a key member of their offensive line in their 2010 first-round selection, Maurkice Pouncey. The Steelers did sign BJ Finney this offseason, who has played for the Steelers in the past, to give depth at the position. Although Finney is not the long-term answer for the team in Pittsburgh, Landon Dickerson out of Alabama could be the answer.

Landon Dickerson is 6-foot-6 and weighs around 325 pounds, making him a dominant force at the center position. Dickerson was a fifth-year senior this past college football season and really came into his own as a potential and future starter in the NFL. Dickerson also suffered a torn ACL this season in the College Football Playoff which raises concerns about drafting the angry pass blocker out of Alabama. With bringing back Finney, Landon Dickerson would be a great addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line to either sit behind until he shows starting material or be the day one center for the Steelers.

Dickerson is a dream player for any coach and organization. He seems to be a real guys guy and also plays with a lot of intensity on the field never taking a play off. Dickerson has grown-man strength and can hold his own with any big-bodied interior pass rusher. Honestly, Dickerson would be a big steal for the Pittsburgh Steelers at 55 but makes total sense if Dickerson is still waiting to be selected and is drafted to be the starting center for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
