player. Pick Analysis. WR. Florida. Kadarius Toney. 1. 26. Scouting Report

A do it all wideout, Toney came onto the stage in 2020 thanks to a strong Florida passing attack. At pick 27, the Baltimore Ravens getting Toney helps solve their biggest need on offense, a top-notch wide receiver.

Last season, the Ravens attempted to solve their wideout issue with former Cowboy Dez Bryant. It was a failed experiment and the team should look elsewhere, including possibly signing former Steeler and Buccaneer Antonio Brown.

However, here we are going with former Florida Gator Kadarius Toney. At 6-feet tall, 193-pounds, would slot in well alongside Marquise Brown and newly signed Sammy Watkins.

In his final season at Florida, Toney had by far his best season putting together 1145 scrimmage yards with 11 total touchdowns, ten of which came on the receiving end. The Ravens enjoy fast wideouts, evident with Marquise Brown, and Toney clocked in at a 4.39s 40-yard dash at his pro day, a number that should be given a +0.05 margin of error.

It will be interesting to see if teams take into account Toney’s one-year breakout, but the Florida wideout could have been disadvantaged by a bad offensive system in years past. This year’s wide receiver class is deep and Baltimore should seek to add at least two, Toney is the first one and should be an instant favorite for the 2019 league MVP.
