Cincinnati Bengals mock draft: Round 4, 111th overall

Scouting Report. IDL. Osa Odighizuwa. 4. player. Pick Analysis. UCLA. 836

Just a handful of picks after landing an exciting edge defender with high upside as a pass rusher, the Cincinnati Bengals add a similar player on the inside. Osa Odighizuwa lacks ideal size for an interior defensive lineman, but he is an explosive athlete on the inside who undoubtedly has exciting upside as a one-gap penetrator.

Odighizuwa is extremely quick off of the snap and consistently shows tremendous upfield burst. He is able to get upfield in an instant and turns the corner extremely quickly for an interior player. Odighizuwa is never going to make much of an impact as a run defender but he undoubtedly has value as an interior pass rusher.

Cincinnati Bengals mock draft: Round 5, 149th overall

Pick Analysis. Purdue. LB. Derrick Barnes. 5. player. Scouting Report. 848

Derrick Barnes is an impressive athlete at the linebacker position who consistently flies around the field and makes plays. He is a quick and explosive playmaker who shines when working downhill, has solid block-shed ability and is a reliable tackler in space. Barnes also shows exciting playmaking ability in the blitz game, using an impressive combination of speed and physicality to quickly create pressure on the quarterback when shooting through the gaps.

Barnes could come in and make an immediate impact as a run defender and blitz specialist from the off-ball linebacker position. He shows tremendous natural instincts on the field and has the skills needed to chase down the ball and make the play. However, he is not a good player in coverage and will be exploited in this area early in his career if he is asked to drop back. Barnes has the athletic upside to be a good coverage player but he has a long way to go before he gets there.

His limitations in coverage will likely limit his ability to consistently stay on the field early in his career, but Barnes is undoubtedly a gifted athlete. He should be able to come in and make an immediate impact on special teams and also provide depth at off-ball linebacker.
