Cincinnati Bengals mock draft: Round 3, 69th overall

Scouting Report. OT. player. 861. Pick Analysis. BYU. Brady Christensen. 3

If the Cincinnati Bengals select Penei Sewell at No. 5 overall, they may be able to get away with only taking one offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the unit stands out as a major need for this team and attacking that need with multiple picks feels like a strong plan of attack. After taking Leatherwood in the second round, the Bengals double-up on the offensive line by selecting Brady Christensen in the third.

Christensen was a rock-solid starting left tackle at BYU, showing obvious value to the team in their spread offensive attack. He is a solid athlete at the position, shows fantastic football IQ and plays the game with good power and a tough demeanor. Christensen could provide plenty of value at the next level as a swing tackle and may have inside/outside versatility if needed. Simply put, he is a good football player who would undoubtedly solidify an obvious area of need for this team.

Cincinnati Bengals mock draft: Round 3, 96th overall

Pick Analysis. EDGE. Joe Tryon. 818. Scouting Report. Washington. 3. player

Cincinnati made a significant investment in the edge rusher position this offseason when they signed Trey Hendrickson to a massive four-year deal in free agency. However, with Sam Hubbard set to hit free agency after the 2021 season, the Bengals could certainly look to address their EDGE situation with an earlier pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In this mock draft, the Cincinnati Bengals find edge rusher value with their late third-round pick in the form of Joe Tryon. Tryon was only a one-year starter in college and played a unique hybrid role from the stand-up position a majority of the time. However, his quickness and explosive athleticism consistently stand out when he is on the field.

Tryon displays a quick first step and impressive lateral agility. He has a lot of raw upside as a speed rusher on the edge and could come in and provide immediate value for the team on passing downs.
