3. Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

Is this pick as likely as the other two? Probably not. But, it’s fun to imagine the possibility of pairing up a receiving threat in Mike Gesicki with a true matchup nightmare in Florida’s Kyle Pitts.

So is Pitts a tight end or a wide receiver. The answer, really, is both, and that gives him an argument to be the top offensive player in the entire 2021 NFL Draft.

Pitts is a matchup nightmare because of his athleticism. He can create initial separation when lined up on the perimeter and is a legit field-stretcher when he lines up in the slot or inline. His ability to win on the slant route is unparalleled as a tight end, and while his run blocking isn’t perfect, he has the length and effort to grow there. Pitts is a legit red zone threat as well with great in-air athleticism, and he can stack defensive backs when working vertically.

His unique skillset and versatility would be great for the Miami Dolphins. Having Gesicki would make “12” personnel a bundle of fun in Miami. Having both be threats in the receiving game, while also being a security blanket for Tagovailoa, is a great thing to have on offense for the Miami Dolphins.
