After trading mid-round capital for quarterback Carson Wentz, the Indianapolis Colts feel like a likely trade-down candidate in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In this NFL mock draft, the Cleveland Browns are the team moving up to the Colts’ pick at No. 21.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 21st overall

Jaelan Phillips. Player Stats. EDGE. Miami (FL). 21. player. 53. Pick Analysis

Jaelan Phillips stands out as a nice value in this range and is worth the trade-up investment for the EDGE-needy Cleveland Browns. Phillips never reached his full upside as a college player but he undoubtedly took his game to the next level in his only year at Miami last season. Phillips is an extremely well-rounded edge rusher who has exciting upside at the next level.

The Brown would love to find a long-term player to pair with Myles Garrett on the edge and Jaelan Phillips feels like a perfect fit. His ability to impact the game against the run and as a pass rusher is exciting and could help take this defense to the next level.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 22nd overall

CB. Greg Newsome II. 22. Player Stats. Northwestern. player. 35. Pick Analysis

After cutting bait with Adoree Jackson earlier this offseason, the Tennessee Titans could easily look to address their cornerback situation in the first round of the draft. With the No. 22 overall pick in this NFL mock draft, the Titans select Greg Newsome II to help fill in for Jackson.

Newsome is a quick and athletic cornerback prospect who also shows good physicality in coverage. He mirrors opposing receivers extremely well and does a great job of attacking the ball in the air. He is a scheme versatile prospect who shows plenty of ability in both man and zone coverage. The Titans find value at an important position of need with this selection.
