2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 15th overall

EDGE. Georgia. Azeez Ojulari. 15. 44. Player Stats. Pick Analysis. player

Unless they decide to take a quarterback at No. 4, I love the idea of the Atlanta Falcons trading down in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Their largest needs on the roster simply do not match up well with the premier talent in this class. Trading down to a spot where they can land an impact player at a value and fill a need feels like the best bet for this team.

Just look at what Atlanta is able to do by trading down in this NFL mock draft. Yes, moving down to No. 15 is a long drop but they were able to add a ton of valuable draft capital and one of the premier cornerbacks in the entire NFL. Then, they go on the clock at No. 15 and are able to add another impact defensive player at an important position of need.

Azeez Ojulari is an extremely gifted EDGE prospect who shows exciting upside at the next level. He shows the ability to time the snap extremely well, has an explosive first step and bends around the edge with ease. Ojulari also shows incredible natural hand usage, using quick and decisive hand movement in pass-rush situations to help create pressure.

While Ojulari is a speed-based edge defender, do not sleep on his toughness and physicality up front. Ojulari uses his length extremely well to set the edge and is always working hard to make life difficult on the offense. He is also an extremely high-motor player who is always around the ball.

Simply put, Ojulari is an extremely gifted player who undoubtedly has massive upside at the next level. The Falcons have an obvious need at the edge rusher position and Ojulari is among the best in the class at the spot. Landing him at No. 15 after the long trade down would be great for Atlanta.
