Miami Dolphins mock draft: Round 5, 157th overall
Miami has two excellent corners in Xavien Howard and Byron Jones, but the team could look to add some depth at this position in the 2021 NFL Draft. A prospect the team has experience with from working with him at the Senior Bowl is Central Arkansas’s, Robert Rochell. Rochell is a good-sized corner who has good ball skills having intercepted ten passes during his college career.
Miami Dolphins mock draft: Round 7, 232nd overall
This will be the third time Miami takes a linebacker in the 2021 NFL Draft. This time they take one of the more underrated players in the draft in Iowa’s Nick Niemann. Niemann posted some impressive pro-day numbers including a 4.45 40-yard dash and a 6.67 three-cone drill time. He was also a productive member of the Hawks leading them in tackles last season. At the bare minimum, he would be a good special teams player for Miami.
Miami Dolphins mock draft: Round 7, 260th overall
Miami wraps up their 2021 NFL Draft by taking South Dakota State wide receiver Cade Johnson. Johnson had a very productive career catching 162 passes for 2,872 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is another player the team got to see at the Senior Bowl which should make them more comfortable with Johnson.
