Scouting Report. Zach Wilson. 2. player. 30. Pick Analysis. QB. BYU

Like the Jaguars, the New York Jets haven’t given any indication thus far of drafting anything other than a quarterback. For them, it’s just deciding which one. After Lawrence, the field gets much harder to rank at the quarterback position, but given the incoming scheme for the Jets and bright lights of New York, Zach Wilson seems like the best fit.

Wilson really broke out this past season, throwing for nearly 3,700 yards with 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions. If that’s any hint to what could come in the NFL, then this might be the guy for the Jets. He also has a personality that seems like it was built for New York, embracing the spotlight and running with it.

The Jets have also done a decent job of adding weapons for whoever is under center in 2021 with Corey Davis and Keelan Cole. New York also has another first-round pick to work with at No. 23 from the Jamal Adams trade with Seattle.

The road to rebuilding is still a long one for the Jets, but taking Wilson would help tremendously. Unless they can figure out how to pull off a Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson trade, Wilson looks like their best option moving forward.
