TRADE: Cleveland sent pick to Minnesota for No. 14

Ohio State. Wyatt Davis. 26. 60. Pick Analysis. OL. player. Scouting Report

The Minnesota Vikings have been working to rebuild their offensive line for a few years, but similar to teams like the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks, they just haven’t had much luck in doing so. Now, they are starting to get momentum towards a strong line with Garrett Bradbury at center and Ezra Cleveland at right guard. However, the left side of the line still needs work, especially with Dakota Dozier being a free agent.

At this point, the best offensive lineman still available is Wyatt Davis out of Ohio State. The Buckeyes have become a pipeline for offensive linemen to the NFL almost as much as they are one for cornerbacks. Davis is just the next name on the list and can slide right in as the left guard.

After the 2019 season, Davis was named First Team All-Big Ten as well as a First Team All-American before helping block the Buckeyes to a National Championship appearance in 2020. The concern for Davis could be his injuries, but the Vikings should be able to test that out and get a read on it before Draft Day. If everything checks out, he could be a mainstay on the Vikings’ offensive line for the next decade or more.
