After the projected trade with the Miami Dolphins, the Panthers didn’t have a second-round draft pick in this mock draft scenario.

Fortunately for them, a player like Tyson Campbell was still on the board in the simulation, and he provides tremendous value in the early portion of the first round.

According to the Georgia football program, Campbell set the track on fire at his pro day recently with a 4.29.

Campbell had only one interception at Georgia, but he has consistently showed how valuable his length, speed, and physicality can be at the outside cornerback position.

At 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, the Panthers would be taking a shot here in the third round on a guy who could potentially develop into a CB1 type of player for their defense.

The potential here is through the roof, and the flashes on tape are there. The Panthers would have to work to extract the best out of Campbell consistently but the desire is there from the player.
