Georgia outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari has been a feared SEC pass rusher over the past few seasons. Last season Ojulari led Georgia in tackles for loss with 12.5 and sacks with 8.5 which was also the top mark in the SEC. He also finished with 35 pressures in 2020 which was 11 more than any other Bulldog. In 2019 he led the team in sacks with 5.5 and also had 34 pressures that season.

The top trait with Ojulari is obviously his ability to get after the quarterback. He has a good burst off the line of scrimmage and shows nice flexibility to get around the edge. He shows good athletic ability on the field as well as he is a very fluid athlete who does a great job of changing directions.

This athletic ability was backed up by a strong pro day where Ojulari posted a 4.6 40-yard dash and 127-inch broad jump.

While Oljuari does show a knack for getting after the passer there are some questions about what else he can do on the football field. He was not asked to cover much in college and looked uncomfortable at times when asked to do it.

As a run defender, he was unable to consistently set the edge and could be easily blocked at times. He needs to use his hands much better to get off blocks in order to improve in this area in the NFL.

Ojulari is widely regarded as a first-round pick, but that may be a little too high for what he can offer. The fact that he looks unnatural in coverage raises serious concerns about how well he can hold up as an outside linebacker in a 4-3 defense. He also lacks the bulk to play defensive end in this scheme.

He could make a good 3-4 outside backer, but if not in that system he might just be a situational pass rusher in the NFL.
