2021 NFL mock draft: 8th pick

Alabama. Jaylen Waddle. 8. Pick Analysis. WR. player. 59. Scouting Report

Miami Dolphins key additions so far

  • WR Will Fuller
  • QB Jacoby Brissett
  • OL Matt Skura
  • OT Isaiah Wilson
  • RB Malcolm Brown
  • DL Adam Butler
  • LB Benardrick McKinney
  • CB Justin Coleman

The Miami Dolphins continue to look absolutely fascinating on paper.

Although they made a surprising move to move on from Kyle Van Noy just one year into his big free agent contract, the Dolphins took to free agency and made some decent-sized waves with the signings of players like Will Fuller and the trade for Benardrick McKinney.

Fuller, in particular, is intriguing.

With his big-time speed and playmaking ability downfield paired with DeVante Parker, the Dolphins’ receiver group is already more interesting than it was a month ago, but the possibility of adding perhaps the most dynamic speed weapon in this draft class (Jaylen Waddle) could make their offensive arsenal absolutely deadly.

Add in Waddle already having chemistry with Tua Tagovailoa, and this matchup could be a no-brainer. The Dolphins could also stay put at the third pick and take Ja’Marr Chase, but one way or another, they should be expected to come away with a top-flight wide receiver prospect with their top pick.
