NFL Free Agency 2021: Ranking the top 5 signings so far
3. Buffalo Bills sign WR Emmanuel Sanders (1 year deal)
Sticking in the AFC East, which apparently has made some good moves in free agency so far, the Buffalo Bills made a very shrewd move in their wide receiver group.
Emmanuel Sanders came to the Bills after the team moved on from John Brown, and there is no question that this is an upgrade for Buffalo’s offense.
Sanders may not be the same type of speed demon he was early on in his career, but he’s still got plenty of speed, route running ability, quickness, flexibility from the slot to the outside, and tremendous hands.
Furthermore, Sanders has a lot of playoff experience and the hardware to prove it.
How in the world are you going to cover this Buffalo wide receiver group, a bunch of ringers out there with Sanders, Cole Beasley in the slot, and Stefon Diggs as the alpha?
Josh Allen should be sleeping well at night.
Even though Sanders is going to be 34 this season, he’s always in tremendous shape and in this offense, he’s pretty much always going to be open. This kind of veteran presence in Buffalo’s offense is going to be a ton of fun to watch.
Getting Sanders on a one-year deal is one of the more underrated upgrades any team has made thus far.
