Atlanta Falcons 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 3, 68th overall

North Carolina. 3. player. Pick Analysis. RB. Michael Carter. 838. Scouting Report

With both Todd Gurley and Brian Hill hitting free agency this offseason, the Atlanta Falcons have an opportunity to completely re-make their running back room this offseason. The position does not have to be a top priority for the team but they should look to find running back value at some point in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In the third round of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the Falcons find that running back value by taking Michael Carter out of North Carolina. Carter shows impressive ball carrier vision, tremendous short-area quickness and great burst through the hole. Carter is an exciting speed back who is extremely elusive in the open field and has the speed to take it to the house from anywhere on the field. He is also an impact passing game weapon who shines as a receiver out of the backfield.

Carter is not the kind of player who can be relied upon as a full-time running back who consistently takes a full load of carries. That being said, he is an extremely gifted player who can certainly make an impact when he is on the field. Make no mistake about it, Carter is a talented player who would be a great pick for Atlanta in this range.

Atlanta Falcons 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 4, 108th overall

Scouting Report. IOL. Georgia. Ben Cleveland. 4. Pick Analysis. player. 814

Ben Cleveland is a massive offensive guard prospect who absolutely dominates with power at the point of attack. He is not the quickest or most naturally athletic offensive lineman around but Cleveland is a mean and nasty offensive lineman who dominates as a run blocker and is reliable in pass protection.

In Cleveland, the Falcons find themselves a talented offensive guard prospect who could come in and make an immediate impact up front and also strong long-term upside.
