Washington Football Team top draft targets after Ryan Fitzpatrick move
3. Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
The top receivers like LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase and Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle/De’Vonta Smith should all be off the board by this point in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
No matter who is still available, the Washington Football Team has to be considering wide receivers with their top pick in this year’s draft.
Two of the top options that could realistically be available at pick no. 19 include Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman and Florida’s Kadarius Toney.
Toney gets the nod here in this post because I think he can be such a unique type of playmaker at the next level. There might not be many in this draft class who are better after the catch than Kadarius Toney.

Toney is a big-time playmaker, and with Terry McLaurin and Logan Thomas likely to eat up the majority of the targets from Ryan Fitzpatrick in the passing game, it stands to reason that Washington would target a playmaker at receiver who can maximize his touches even if he ends the season with 90 targets or less.
Toney is that type of player.
With outstanding speed and vision in the open field, Toney is the type of playmaker who could help take Washington’s offense to the next level in 2021.
