2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 21st overall

21. player. Pick Analysis. OT. Michigan. Jalen Mayfield. Scouting Report. 46

The Indianapolis Colts have a great offensive line as a whole but have a glaring hole at the left tackle position. Unless they invest heavily in Trent Williams in free agency, expect this team to attack this left tackle need with a solid stop-gap veteran in free agency and an early selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In this NFL mock draft, Jalen Mayfield is the pick for Indy at No. 21. Mayfield displays an impressive combination of power and athleticism at the offensive tackle position. He is dominant at the point of attack, shows quick feet and really showed significant improvement during his short 2020 season.

Mayfield played left tackle in college but has the athleticism needed to make a successful switch to the left side if needed. Make no mistake about it, this is an extremely talented offensive tackle prospect who could grow into a premier player with proper development at the next level.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 22nd overall

Pick Analysis. 23. 60. Scouting Report. OT. Texas. Samuel Cosmi. player

The Minnesota Vikings already had a major need at offensive guard but now have a major need at tackle after releasing Riley Reiff earlier this week. This team will have to work to improve their offensive line situation this offseason and adding an intriguing talent like Samuel Cosmi would certainly help.

Samuel Cosmi is an extremely athletic offensive tackle prospect who moves his feet well and consistently shines in pass protection. He does have a bit of a slight frame and that leads to solid overall play strength at best. That being said, Cosmi is an extremely smart player who understands how to shield defenders in the run game and makes the most out of his ability up front.

His upside as a franchise left tackle is massive. The Vikings simply must invest in their offensive line situation this offseason and adding Cosmi to the mix would undoubtedly be a step in the right direction.
