The Minnesota Vikings’ major positions of need do not match up well with the best players available at No. 14 in this NFL mock draft. With this in mind, looking for a partner to trade down with makes sense and the Tennessee Titans feel like a team that could get aggressive. In this deal, the Titans send Minnesota a third-round selection to come up to No. 14 from No. 22.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 14th overall

Pick Analysis. Michigan. Kwity Paye. 14. Scouting Report. EDGE. player. 35

Edge rusher stands out as a major position of need for the Tennessee Titans and while Kwity Paye is a bit of an odd fit for their typical 3-4 defensive scheme, he would be a great fit if they are looking to become more multiple.

Paye is a big and strong edge defender who does a great job of setting the edge. He is a high-level run defender who plays tough at all times a works hard to fill gaps on a consistent basis.

While Paye is certainly a bigger edge defender, do not sleep on his explosive ability at the position. Paye is extremely quick off of the ball and even shows some nice bend around the edge at times. He closes on the quarterback quickly and shows a great ability to convert his speed to power as a pass rusher.

Simply put, Paye’s tough and physical demeanor would fit well on the Titans’ defense. He would fill an obvious need for this team would be worth making this small trade-up investment.
