NFL Free Agency 2021: Predicting one move for all 32 teams
Just like many other teams in 2021, the Kansas City Chiefs are having to pay bills that had previously been kicked down the road.
With that being said, Kansas City has made enough moves at this point — including cutting starting offensive tackles Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz (check out the latest Chiefs mock draft for how to replace them) — that they could reasonably make a few additions in free agency for the right price.
A player like veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson might find the idea of coming to play for Kansas City very appealing.
Specifically, Peterson might like the idea of joining his old pal Tyrann Mathieu — the Honey Badger — for a shot at an NFL title.
Peterson and Mathieu were teammates in Baton Rouge when they starred on the LSU defense together for the 2010 season before Peterson became a top NFL Draft pick.
It’s not going to be hard for the Kansas City Chiefs to convince veteran players to come play for them as long as they have Patrick Mahomes, but having the added bonus of the Honey Badger in this case could seal the deal for a player like Peterson.
