2021 NFL Draft defensive end rankings: Ronnie Perkins leads a deep class
By John Blair
22. Jonathon Cooper, Ohio State
6-foot-3, 254 pounds
2021 NFL Draft grade: Seventh round
Ohio State’s Jonathon Cooper is someone who could make the team as a rotational defensive end. His best attribute is his power and ability to hold up vs. the run. Despite leading Ohio State in sacks this past season, he lacks much upside in this area. On the positive side, Cooper is a good influence in the locker room who shows overall great character.
23. Joshua Kaindoh, Florida State
6-foot-7, 247 pounds
2021 NFL Draft grade: Seventh round
A player who looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane is Florida State defensive end Joshua Kaindoh. Coming in at 6-foot-7 he has the length and athletic ability NFL teams love. Unfortunately, these traits have not turned to on-the-field production as he has only accounted for four sacks over the past three seasons. It would not be a surprise if an NFL team fell in love with his physical tools and spent a seventh-round pick on him, thinking they could develop his talent.
