Offensive line

When speaking about the run game for the Steelers last year it is not all on the running backs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line caught the injury bug early and also has some decline in production. With two guys being free agents that were starters on that line last year, in Alejandro Villanueva and Matt Fieler, you could see them make a move up in the early second round or even move back in the first round to collect more draft capital.

A nice prospect that could be thrown on the left side of that Steelers O-Line could be Liam Eichenberg with Big Al being a free agent and not showing as much production from his Pro Bowl years with the Steelers.

Eichenberg stands tall at 6-foot 6 and weighs a little above 300 pounds, making him a unit on the outside of your O-Line. Eichenberg is one of those prospects who just looks like an NFL player with long arms and a strong build at the position.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be potentially without three of their starting offensive line with both guys mentioned already on the left side being free agents and Maurkice Pouncey deciding to retire this offseason.

Eichenberg is a late first to early second-round prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft. With the potential future compensation picks that they could be getting from free agents leaving, they could use those and other picks to move up in the early second round and take the pass blocker out of Notre Dame. Also allowing them to maybe go for a skill position or edge rusher in the first round of the draft.
