Denver Broncos mock draft: Round 4, 114th overall

Scouting Report. Patrick Jones II. player. 866. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Pittsburgh. 4

The Denver Broncos carry an option on star edge rusher Von Miller this offseason and it will be interesting to see what they do with him. Denver reportedly wants Miller to rework the final year of his contract and it seems likely that the two sides will come to an agreement. That being said, even with Miller likely returning, edge rusher depth still a concern for this team.

Patrick Jones II stands out as a nice value target for Denver in this range and would undoubtedly be a strong depth addition to their edge rusher mix. Jones is quick off of the ball and explosive around the edge. He has exciting upside as a speed rusher at the next level and is also a tough and physical player who competes well against the run.

Make no mistake about it, Jones would be a great pick for Denver in this range, giving them some much-needed long-term depth at the edge rusher position.

Marvin Wilson. 4. 804. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. IDL. Florida State. player

With Shelby Harris and Jurrell Casey both hitting free agency this offseason, interior defensive line could end up being a major position of need for the Denver Broncos in the 2021 NFL Draft. Here, they target Marvin Wilson to help fill the hole, taking a chance on a player who struggled in a major way this past season.

Wilson entered the 2020 season as the clear top interior defensive line prospect in this class. However, he took a major step back this past season, struggling to make any sort of impact in the Florida State defense.

That being said, if we look back to his 2019 tape, it is easy to see why Wilson could be a tremendous value pick in this range. Wilson is a quick and explosive interior defensive lineman who has a lot of upside as an interior penetrator.

He certainly needs to become a more consistent player up front, but Wilson has exciting upside as a pass rusher from the inside. Wilson should be able to come in and make an immediate impact on obvious passing downs and could grow into an exciting full-time player if he develops well.
