Scouting Report. EDGE. Georgia. 27. 26. Pick Analysis. Azeez Ojulari. player

Azeez Ojulari is another one of my favorite players in this 2021 NFL mock draft. Despite being a little undersized, this guy just finds a way to get to the quarterback.

Ojulari put on a show for anyone that was watching Georgia’s bowl game against Cincinnati. He practically closed out the game single-handedly, getting to the quarterback multiple times late in the game to thwart any sort of comeback effort, proving that he can rise to the occasion in big moments.

At just 6-foot-3 and 240 lbs, Ojulari is a bit of a smaller frame than is typically desired from an NFL edge rusher. But that did not seem to stop him at the highest level of college football. He is an explosive athlete off the edge, firing out of blocks and working his way right around tackles.

Even as explosive as he is, Ojulari is not a one-dimensional rusher. He displays great power and strength, especially for his size. He can battle right through blocks, work his way to the inside or getting around the edge with excellent bend.

Ojulari has a nose for the ball, as well. He doesn’t just beat blockers. He gets to the quarterback and is usually able to make an effective play on the ball. Forcing turnovers is a huge factor at the next level and something that Ojulari does very well.

Azeez Ojulari would be a great fit in the Baltimore Ravens defensive scheme. A defensive front that has quite literally all of their edge rushers scheduled to hit free agency (namely Matt Judon, Yannick Ngakoue, Pernell McPhee, Tyus Bowser and even Derek Wolfe).

Adding a player like Ojulari to a defensive unit that always seems to find themselves at the top of the NFL would be a great move for the Ravens’ front office. Even if they are able to retain some of their own pass rushers, Azeez Ojulari could become an All-Pro, especially with that organization.
