Jacksonville Jaguars mock draft: Round 2, 33rd overall

Scouting Report. Trevon Moehrig. 2. Pick Analysis. S. TCU. player. 52

Jacksonville had one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL last season. The team finished 26th overall in passing yards per game and teams were able to complete 70 percent of the passes thrown.

These are not the stats of a strong secondary and one of the worst players in the secondary for Jacksonville was Josh Jones. Due to this look for the team to draft a safety high in the 2021 NFL Draft.

TCU’s Trevon Moehrig is the type of prospect the team could make a day one starter at free safety. He has the speed to play deep in the NFL and has also shown good ball skills. Last season in just 10 games he deflected nine passes. He also has six interceptions over the past two seasons.

Jacksonville Jaguars mock draft: Round 2, 45th overall

52. TE. 2. player. Miami. Brevin Jordan . Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

It is starting to look like Jacksonville will lose its top two tight ends in free agency in Tyler Eifert and James O’Shaughnessy this offseason.

The team also has very little depth at this position as Eric Saubert is the only other player who made a significant contribution last season. While the team will likely look to sign a free agent at this position, it would be a surprise if the team did not also address the position in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In Miami tight end Brevin Jordan the team is getting an athletic tight end who is an excellent receiver. Last season, Jordan caught 38 passes for 576 yards and seven touchdowns in just eight games.

What makes Jordan such a dangerous weapon in the passing game is his combination of speed and athletic ability.
