3. DB Trill Williams for Xavier Woods/Jourdan Lewis

Not that one prospect can replace two departing free agents, but maybe…

The Syracuse defensive backfield is going to be fascinating for just about every NFL team and any need you could possibly have.

Ifeatu Melifonwu is drawing a ton of attention because he’s built like an X wide receiver. Andre Cisco, a free safety, was the player that had drawn the most attention going into the 2020 season with 12 interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles from 2018-19.

One player that has been slightly overlooked (until now, anyway) is do-it-all defensive back Trill Williams, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound defensive back who has the foot quickness of a guy who is 5-foot-9 and the length to play outside corner.

Not only that, but Williams can play in the box and blitz as well.

The Cowboys would probably love to bring back at least one of Woods or Lewis to their secondary in 2021 but a player like Trill Williams in the second or third round could really boost the versatility and athleticism of their secondary unit.

Paired with a first-round player like Patrick Surtain, the Cowboys could be really different on defense in 2021 with Dan Quinn calling the shots as coordinator and some fun weapons in the secondary like Diggs, Surtain, and Williams.
