After having already witnessed a flurry of rumors and activity by multiple franchises regarding the question mark posed above their man under center. Following last offseason in which an excess of quarterbacks enabled solutions for every roster, this year’s pool of talent comes well short of supplying the demand present within the current market.

Despite the previous certainty of Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence heading to Jacksonville, the recent debate over the gap in talent between Lawrence and fellow prospect Zach Wilson has brought questions over whether Jacksonville could be even more successful moving back and opting another quarterback within the 2021 NFL Draft with additional assets.

The final consideration leading into the 2021 NFL Draft will be the price a franchise will be willing to pay to put themselves within the top-five with a chance to acquire their franchise signal-caller. With the Miami Dolphins‘ No. 3 overall selection likely capable of being bought out in order to further stack their war chest, as well as uncertainty among other high-standing draft picks, who could make the bold move of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Sticking to their guns, Urban Meyer selects the quarterback prospect he has so highly touted throughout his short broadcasting career, all but announcing the selection with his prominent positioning during Lawrence’s workout. A surprisingly capable group of personnel for a franchise possessing the number one overall selection, Lawrence should have the supporting cast to at the very least give him the opportunity to go after rookie passing records of Herbert, Prescott, and Luck.

A generational talent on and off of the field with the intangibles to lead a ballclub out of irrelevancy, any individual who has vaguely kept in tune with the 2021 NFL Draft should see what makes Trevor Lawrence a bonified number one overall selection.
