Buffalo Bills mock draft: Round 5, 162nd overall

Ohio State. CB. Pick Analysis. Shaun Wade. 5. player. Scouting Report. 16

One of the weakest areas on the Buffalo Bills last season was cornerback. The team has one solid corner in Tre’Davious White but must find someone opposite of him as both Levi Wallace and Josh Norman struggled at times last year.

In Ohio State’s Shaun Wade, the team gets a player who has intriguing potential and was one of the better corners in college football in 2019. Unfortunately, he did struggle this past season when he was asked to move from a nickel corner to a starting corner. Despite these struggles, Wade is still worth a fifth-round pick, as he could compete with Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson for the number two corner spot in 2021.

Buffalo Bills mock draft: Round 5, 175th overall

player. Spencer Brown. Pick Analysis. OT. UNI. 5. 16. Scouting Report

Buffalo’s Daryl Williams had a strong season last year, but unfortunately will be a free agent this offseason. William’s backup, Ty Nsekhe, is a free agent as well. Nsekhe will also be 36 next season, so even if he does return, it will likely only be for a year or two. This means the Buffalo Bills must address the right tackle spot in the 2021 NFL Draft.

UNI’s Spencer Brown could make sense with one of the team’s fifth-round draft picks. Brown is an enormous offensive tackle, coming in at 6-foot-8 and 314 pounds. He also projects best as a right tackle due to his strong run blocking and overall strength. While it might be hard for him to earn a starting job as a rookie, he has the potential to develop into a starter in a couple of years.
